This is Unén in 2023. The band’s lineup changed this February and after that things have got to speed properly. It has been very difficult lately to hide our excitement and anticipation to announce our new lead singer. The past few months have been very busy to say the least. New music is being made and collaboration flows like a dream. Just this week we got our latest photos of us for everyone to see. No more hush hush. This is a fresh start and a promise to make Unén as good as it can be.
But who is the new lead singer? May we present you Stina Girs! She became well known during the Idols competition back in 2011 and afterwards published 2 studio albums with well known record labels. The rest of the band feel really honored to have her onboard. Her sound, song writing, enthusiasm and dedication are truly second to none. We could never ask for more. But all the excitement goes both ways. To quote her own words: “Now I can finally sing music that I’ve loved since I was a teenager. Musically I’m at home and able to be part of a great band. This is the beginning of our story. There is more to come, and a lot of it!”
So today is a big day. This is the new sound of Unén (you can check that out in Spotify or Youtube). For starters we decided to release a single to showcase what kind of music is to be expected in the near future. The song “Made of Stone” by Evanescence inspired us both in terms of the lyrics and composition, so we gave it our best shot and made it sound our own. We hunger to release our own songs, but let’s have a taste of this appetizer.
